LEGAL
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how silovs.lv processes personal data and technical information, including data used by social media API integrations.
Last updated: 16 August 2026.
Data controller
Data controller: Viktors Silovs (silovs.lv). For privacy and personal-data matters, contact viktors@silovs.lv.
This policy applies to the public silovs.lv website, contact forms, CMS operations, optional analytics and advertising measurement, and the social publishing integrations used by the silovs.lv CMS.
Data we may process
Depending on how you use the website or an authorised integration, silovs.lv may process:
- the name, email address, phone number, company, selected service, budget information and message submitted through a contact form;
- UTM parameters, landing-page path and referrer information where available;
- an irreversible cryptographic fingerprint derived from an IP address for security purposes and technical server logs;
- browser-stored choices relating to analytics and marketing measurement;
- social-media profile or account identifiers;
- OAuth/API access tokens and the API permissions granted to the integration;
- published post identifiers and, where returned by the platform, published post URLs;
- publication status, API responses and technical error logs;
- technical publication information such as the article URL and social-image path.
Purposes of processing
Data is processed only for defined operational purposes:
- responding to enquiries and taking steps toward a possible business engagement;
- keeping the website secure, preventing abuse and diagnosing technical problems;
- measuring website use and advertising performance where the visitor has provided the required consent;
- publishing content from the silovs.lv CMS to authorised X.com, LinkedIn, Instagram and Threads accounts;
- recording publication status and the technical information required to control the publishing workflow and troubleshoot errors.
Content sent from the CMS to social platforms is intended to consist of the SEO title, SEO description, article link and social media image.
Legal basis
The legal basis depends on the specific processing activity and may include:
- your consent, for example for optional analytics or marketing measurement;
- steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or performance of a contract when you enquire about services;
- the legitimate interests of silovs.lv in operating a secure and functional website, protecting its systems and administering authorised integrations;
- compliance with a legal obligation where one applies to the specific situation.
Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Social media platforms
The silovs.lv CMS may use API integrations with X.com, LinkedIn, Instagram and Threads to publish website content to accounts that have been authorised by the account owner or an authorised representative.
silovs.lv does not use these API integrations to:
- collect other social-network users' data in bulk;
- profile social-network users;
- sell users' personal data;
- scrape social networks;
- build audience profiles from other users' personal data.
Processing performed by each social platform is also governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy.
API tokens and security
Social-network access tokens are stored in encrypted form in the silovs.lv CMS database. Access to Social Publishing settings is intended for an authenticated CMS owner account. Tokens are not intentionally exposed in public HTML, the sitemap, public APIs or other public resources.
The CMS uses access tokens only to the extent required for the configured integration and the permissions granted by the relevant platform. Tokens can be replaced, revoked or removed when the integration is disconnected.
Website analytics and cookies
Technologies that are necessary for the secure and correct operation of the website are used as required. Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag are activated only in accordance with the visitor's choice in the website's cookie-consent interface. The consent choice is stored in the browser so that the website can remember the visitor's preference.
The Google Analytics configuration on silovs.lv uses the IP anonymisation setting. Analytics and advertising-measurement providers may receive technical information as required for their services and in accordance with their own privacy terms.
Data retention
Personal data is not kept longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained or longer than required by applicable law.
- enquiry data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to communicate, assess a possible engagement, administer a contractual relationship or protect legal claims;
- social-network access tokens and integration configuration are retained while the integration is required or until it is disconnected or deletion is requested;
- publication-related technical data and error logs are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to control the publishing process, maintain security and troubleshoot issues;
- the browser choice for optional tracking is currently stored for up to 180 days unless the user deletes or changes it earlier.
Sharing and transfers outside the EEA
Data may be disclosed to service providers only to the extent necessary for website hosting, email, analytics or the operation of authorised social-media integrations. Social platforms and analytics providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, applicable data-protection rules require an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses where relevant to the specific transfer.
Your rights
Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to:
- receive information about the processing of your personal data and obtain access to it;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure in circumstances where the right to erasure applies;
- request restriction of processing;
- in applicable cases, receive data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority, including the Latvian Data State Inspectorate where relevant.
These rights are not absolute and may be limited in circumstances provided by law.
Data deletion
If you have authorised a silovs.lv social-media integration, you may request deletion of data associated with that specific authorisation. Detailed instructions are provided on the Data Deletion page.
A deletion request does not necessarily mean that silovs.lv is permitted to erase every record immediately. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or where objectively necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when silovs.lv functionality, integrations, service providers or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with the date of the latest update.
